From new construction, to remodels, to television home renovations, we work with you to design a space reflective of your personal style and taste. We work and collaborate with builders, commercial brands, television networks, photographers, non profit organizations and other designers around the world to produce design content for editorial, broadcast and residential use.

Several members of The Design Hunters met while designing around the globe; and in doing so, we came together to create our version of a modern day design company. Collectively, we have completed renovations in 33 of the 50 states…. and growing. We are proud of our journey and have made it our mission, by nature, to search for inspiration from across the globe and share it with our evolving culture.

For all TV renovations and makeover shows please contact us directly at television@thedesignhunters.com. Our team handles everything from pre-production, creative direction, location scouting, interior design, shopping, install and wrap. A majority of our entertainment home renovations have been designed and built under extremely accelerated production time schedules. We have a network of designers, carpenters, project managers and builders spread out across the United States. If it is a television show we can not personally take on, we will most definitely know who to send your way.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Veronica Valencia - Founder / Creative Director

Veronica is the leader of the pack. The creative force driving the team to reach for the moon and shine like stars. Her vision for the team can only be described as ever upward. Unwaveringly sharp, with a hunger for more, she is the true embodiment of her title as Chief Huntress.

By trade, Veronica Valencia is a Television Production Designer, Interior Designer and Home Lifestyle Expert. By nature, she’s a Creative Director and Florist; but since that's far too many titles for one 33 yr old to fit on a single business card, she goes by the title Design Hunter instead. For her, it sums everything she is about. “In life and in design, I’m always hunting for something. Sometimes it’s the perfect chaise for a clients living room, other times its the ideal house for a crew of a hundred to storm and demo for TV. Either way, I approach it with the same sense of pride and style I would for my own home,” explains the soulful LA native.

She’s a colorfully engineered, hardworking individual, with a drive and passion that comes across in all her work. For Veronica, whether it’s a TV set, a wedding location or a home, she believes one key ingredient is essential, “We all walk into a room…into a space...and instantly respond to how it makes us feel. Home, or the idea of it isn’t a place so much as an emotion. I want the spaces I design to capture that.”

As the former Lead Designer / Art Director for ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, we all can agree that Veronica not only understands what home is, she’s perfectly captured its emotion. If you watched on Sundays, along with the rest of us 10 Million around the globe that tuned in, then you know there wasn’t a week that went by when we didn’t cry right along those families on that "Welcome Home". It was through EM:HE that Valencia first mastered the craft of bringing dreams to life on a grand scale. And that was no small feat… each week she worked with thousands of volunteers from across the nation, led the "behind the scenes" design teams and waded through all the integrations and installations of this juggernaut production…all within the mere 106 hours they had permitted in each city to get the work done.

Today, in addition to TV production services for such networks as ABC, OWN, FOX, NBC and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC; styling gigs for editorial; on camera work, like the successful back-to-school campaign she did for TARGET™, Veronica also has the job of running her successful Interior Design, Styling & Creative Development Company, The Design Hunters. Veronica and her team have collectively produced and styled well over 500 home renovations, photo shoots and events across the country. Remodelista called her the “Master of Design Transformations" and Australian magazine, Renegade Collective deemed her “Miss. Makeover”. Her work has been featured in My Domaine, Remodelista, The New York Times, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, Lucky Magazine and more.

Veronica, currently splits her time between NY and LA, with her husband and business partner, Kristopher Hughes and their pup Duke. “ I feel like I’ve formed my dream of a design company. A family. A traveling band of vagabonds who’ve made it their mission to go out in the world chasing down high design, new adventures and homecomings on behalf of everyone; carrying with us only real life solutions and good ideas that inspire. It’s opened my eyes to all of the beauty that can be found wherever you land and taught me that you can hunt down and live with inspiration no matter what your budget. Design is about experiences, culture and community and I couldn't be happier being a part of it.”

Kristopher came to The Design Hunters from New York City and is the business manager and co-founder of the company. Familiar with both the urban and refined palettes of our home bases, he always keeps everyone on their toes and aware of the up and comings on both the east and west coasts. Not only does this *Hunter In Command* run the production and logistics of our projects, the rest of the team also refers to him as Veronica’s rock. They met and fell in love while on a job in NYC and the rest is history.
